14 Day Residential Detox Treatment
At AddictionRehab, we want treatment to be convenient for everyone. Our 14-day programme is for those middle-of-the-road cases that do not require the full 28-day programme for the most serious situations but need more therapy than what the seven-day option has to offer.
This 14-day treatment programme is ideal for those who are still at the beginning stages of addiction as well as those who have already completed treatment but relapsed. It includes detox and counselling therapies for those who have not fallen into serious addiction, and counselling designed to help individuals understand the process that led to their relapse so it doesn’t happen again.

14-Day Detox Explained
Our 14-day treatment programme includes all of the treatment options available in our other programmes but contained within a 14-day time frame. When you decide to go for the 14-day treatment, you may be recommended to undergo any of the following:
- Medically assisted detox
If you have been clinically diagnosed as having an addiction, alcohol or drug detox will be required to flush out the chemicals from your body.
- Group therapy
Group therapy serves is the primary basis of our treatment programme. The insight, support and camaraderie offered by peers play an invaluable role in recovery.
- Individual therapy
Alongside group therapy are weekly one-to-one counselling sessions where your specific needs and goals are addressed. The robust combination of group therapy and individual counselling is what makes our treatment approach effective.
- Medication management
Sometimes, medication is prescribed to avoid relapse. When our doctors prescribe drugs, individuals, are carefully taught how to manage their medication to prevent future problems. If they fall into relapse because of poor management, we help them find out where they went wrong so that their mistakes can be corrected.
- Family support
At AddictionRehab, we extend our support to family members. Our counsellors offer guidance and support to spouses, partners, and children as they go through the process of learning how to live with a recovering addict.

At AddictionRehab, we believe that it’s not enough to address only the physical aspects of addiction, which is why we all use a holistic approach in all of our programmes. The whole person needs to be healed – body, mind, and spirit, and our 14-day treatment programme provides individuals with many opportunities to heal in these different areas.
If you are dealing with addiction for the first time or have gone into relapse, our 14-day treatment programme may be just what you need. Our fully trained staff will take excellent care of you, not only because it’s their job but because they are compassionate and genuinely care for people. We will create a customised treatment programme for you that addresses your specific needs and circumstances in a manner that is most appropriate for you.
The scope of addressing substances and providing care for each individual adequately is limited to a short time frame. The substance used, duration and history of usage, and the need for a more comprehensive and carefully managed approach are factors that determine the detoxification process an individual goes through. We strongly recommended that you consult with our admissions team to find out the optimal programme length that meets your personal requirements.

What Happens After Rehab?
Whatever programme a recovering addict decides to undergo – a standalone seven-day detox or a four-week rehab program, his or her post treatment decisions are just as important as the treatments themselves. In fact, the treatment is just the initial phase of the life long process of recovery.
An individual who opts for a seven-day detox programme must access community-based services if he or she needs help in avoiding relapse. A support group provides the encouragement, camaraderie, and practical wisdom that a recovering addict needs to protect himself or herself from relapse. There are various support groups for all kinds of addictions – the different illicit drugs, prescription medications, and alcohol. On the other hand, someone who decides on the four-week rehab programme will be involved in what is known as aftercare.
Aftercare entails having one-on-one counselling, group therapy, and other therapies included in a customised treatment plan. The purpose of providing aftercare services is to continue what was done during the psychotherapeutic treatments. It is worth mentioning that recovering addicts who attend aftercare significantly reduce their likelihood of relapsing in the future.

Your Attitude Makes A Difference
Recovering from an addiction can be a gruelling process, it is definitely not a walk in the park. The treatment process for substance and behavioural addiction can be extremely hard and uncomfortable, and, as earlier mentioned, recovery is a lifelong process that doesn’t end after rehab is completed.
As with everything else in life, your attitude and desire to make changes will determine the outcome of your recovery. If you see short-term rehab as the quickest way to fix your addiction problem, then you are already starting off on the wrong foot. A successful recovery requires a 100% commitment and a willingness to abstain from whatever addictive behaviour you are struggling with. We hope this is the kind of attitude you have as you enter our rehab programme.
If this is the case, we urge you to reach out to us immediately through our addiction recovery helpline. One of our fully trained and compassionate counsellors is ready to listen and help. We will offer you a comprehensive assessment based on the information you provide, free of charge and recommend the best course of treatment for you.
We are focused on helping you to get well, and we assure you of complete confidentiality with regards to our services. Unless you want others to know that you reached out to us, everything will be strictly between you and us. What matters the most is your decision to seek professional help. We are here to help you overcome your addiction and set you up for lasting recovery.
